Principal's Message - October 2024
Dear Big Valley Families,As we embrace the beautiful month of October, I am filled with excitement for the opportunities ahead. This season brings vibrant colors, cooler weather, and a renewed sense of community spirit.
One of the highlights of this past month was our participation in the Terry Fox Run. This annual event is not just a fundraiser; it’s a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance, hope, and unity in the face of challenges. It was amazing to see everyone participate, whether by running, walking, or supporting our efforts to honor Terry’s legacy. Big Valley did an amazing job fundraising again this year, stay tuned to our newsletter to find out when students will be celebrating their efforts by having a school wide water gun fight, a school movie afternoon, duct taping me to the wall, and our staff campout! Great job Bulldogs!
In addition, our fall sports are in full swing! Our volleyball and cross country teams are showcasing their talents and teamwork. Our cross country teams participated in runs at Erskine, Donalda and we are hosting CARA Cross Country on October 4th. Bulldogs Volleyball teams have been working hard and are having an awesome season so far with games against Christ King and WEH! I’m proud of the dedication and sportsmanship our athletes demonstrate, representing our school with pride. Let’s continue to cheer them on and celebrate their achievements.
As we transition into fall, let’s take a moment to appreciate the changing seasons and the opportunities they bring for growth and reflection. Together, let’s make October a month of kindness, collaboration, compassion and community.
Wishing everyone a wonderful month ahead!
